BEST OF THE BEST winner FIVE years in a row!
Proper care & maintenance is an essential part of keeping your vinyl flooring or tile attractive and increase its overall longevity. It will extend its life and preserve its appearance. Improper maintenance can result in a build-up on the surface and ruining of the grouting materials.
DO use hard plastic or felt pads under heavy furniture to prevent point loads. Use felt pads under moving furniture, such as chairs, to prevent scratches, etc.
DO place mats by doorways to prevent dirt and debris from being tracked indoors. Ensure your mats are non-rubber backed to prevent discoloration.
DO dry sweep or vacuum floor before wet cleaning to ensure that dirt and grit is removed
DO clean with a pH neutral, fragrance-free vinyl flooring cleaner (such as Karndean Clean or Bona) to keep your floor looking their best.
DO NOT slide heavy furniture over an unprotected floor or severe scratching may result; Protect your floor when moving heavy furniture with furniture slides.
DO NOT use vacuums that have a beater bar or electric brooms with hard plastic bottoms or no padding, as this may cause discoloration, scratching and loss of sheen.
DO NOT use highly alkaline or acidic cleaning products.
DO NOT use detergents, abrasive cleaners or “mop and shine” type products (such as Bleach, Pine-Sol, Clorox Soft Scrub, Fabuloso, Mop & Glo, Mr. Clean, Murphy’s Oil Soap and similar, unapproved cleaners), as they will dull the finish and sheen of the flooring material.
DO NOT use sweeping compounds or cleaning agents containing oils or solvents.
DO NOT flood the area when cleaning.

DO regularly dust mop, sweep, or vacuum prior to cleaning with liquid products
DO place mats by doorways to prevent dirt and debris from being tracked indoors.
DO Clean up spills ASAP
DO steam clean if you wish with only plain water – do not use this method with chemicals as it can be harmful to grout when poured along with water.
DO use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner that won't streak or discolor the tile to remove soap scum, hard water deposits, and mildew. Choose products that are compatible with your grout to avoid damage or discoloration of the grout. Always dry your porcelain thoroughly after cleaning.
DO take care to avoid exposing porcelain to permanent inks or dyes, as these might not be removable. If porcelain surfaces are exposed, rinse the area with water as soon as possible then apply approved cleaning product. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Although porcelain is resistant to stains from juice, wine, coffee and other food substances, it is best to wipe up spills immediately to prevent possible stains. While porcelain is also resistant to scratches, etching and stains, these surfaces are not damage proof.
DO keep your grout sealed. Some sealers will last several years (see product information, and warranties) but frequency will also depend on traffic patterns and maintenance routines. Epoxy grout is chemically cured and doesn’t require the sealers that cementitious grouts do. They are naturally resistant to spills, stains and moisture.
DO NOT use cleaning products that contain acids, ammonia (and other harsh chemicals) as these can damage grout and glazed surfaces of the tile.
